plastikcam.com       Transparent Ultra Compact 28mm Focus Free Camera

This is a so-called Focus Free or Toy Camera. It's based on a widely sold Vivitar model (T101), which was also marketed as Bell & Howell, Argus 520 and is still sold as Hot Shot in vivid colours. It shares the same form and features, but the front part of this one is transparent so that you can see its functions and the different plastic parts have been moulded in vivid colours. Nevertheless it works! The transparent model is not common.

Its main features are:

28mm ultra wide angle plastic lens, F8, focus free, 1m-
Shutter 1/125
Double Exposure Prevention, slider
Size 95 x 63 x 37,  Weight 79 gr.(!)

Camera top. Film rewind, film counter and shutter release.

Camera bottom. No tripod socket, wouldn't make sense with 1/125 single speed. Rewind release, locks into place.

Film compartment.
Note the curved film plane, it helps against the vignetting of the simple plastic lens.

These are the ultimate basics of a camera, focus free, single shutter speed and F8 fixed aperture. Point and shoot only. If you choose the right film, ISO 400 in general and ISO 200 on very sunny days, you can shoot outside photos that look o.k.. The rest will be "Lomo" style. It's very small, very light and has a very wide angle lens. The transparent housing makes it funny, plastic(k) fantastic. You should have used one of these once in your life!
